Today, Wednesday the 7th makes me three weeks out of surgery.
I've been walking with the rollator either up and down the street or doing from a few to several laps in the backyard.
Yesterday I even chased the dog a little with the rollator, lots of fun and then Ace comes and bites me on the heels.:D ;)
Today we had to go into town so I could get some blood work done and we needed a bill of groceries so went to Wally World in Broken Arrow.
All in all I must've walked damned near a mile in the store with somewhat frequent rests.
I was beat by the time we got home but it was a good tired.
Haven't had a good tired in so long I can't recall the last one.
Had a little pain in the hip and the old back was tired but I'm just pretty dayumed happy.:D
I sure couldn't have done it three weeks ago!!!!
I had a couple of long naps and now I can't sleep but I'm gonna head for the couch and put the CPAP on and see what happens.;)

Thanks again for all the Smoke and Prayers gang, it is much appreciated!!!!  :D

Yvsa,

So glad that you are up an about! That "Good Tired" is music to my ears.

Growing old is not for sissies.

Very good news indeed!

I pray that your strength and endurance continues to improve.

Glad to hear you feeling even better Ysva.

Merry Xmas to everybody, especially those troops overseas and in the combat zone. May god grant you all a safe and quick return home.

James

Great news! It must feel great to be up and around and feeling better:)

Good tired is a great feeling.

Sounds like you're getting about the best X-Mas present you could ask for. Its amazing how tiring chronic pain is.

Glad to hear you're doing well. We were all kinda worried, although we should have known better. ;)

God bless you Yvsa. I'm so glad you are back at it. It'll take time for the endurance to return. You are a trooper for sure. This is wonderous news, and we're all glad to hear it. We've missed your voice around here and it'll be good to get it back. That's selfish I know, but true.

I ordered a FF right after seeing pics of yours. Special ordered it from Yangdu. (18-19", dark wood handle, min cho creep). Yours was an inspiration, and I am very excited. I know it will take a while, and don't mind/won't be bothering Yangdu about it. Its my Christmas present to me.

Good good.

Wondered where you wandered off to yesterday.

We're glad to have you back, and it's excellent news that outcome of the surgery is what was desired. Exhaustion from a good day's activity is the best sleep aid you can get. You're body is tuckered out from doing a days work. Time to relax. Being tired from fighting pain or holding your body in such a way so that it takes the stress off the painful areas is the worst:grumpy:
Sleep easy, and welcome home.

Jake

Glad to hear you are doing better. With rest and exercise you will (hopefully) be chasing the dogs without your rollator.

Dear Yvsa,

With al the stuff going on in my world I haven't kept up...

Glad to hear you are doing good.

Be well...

Shane

Thanks everyone. I surely won't overdo things as I know the results of doing so but it sure felt good to be out and about once again.
With it being so cold here today I'm not sticking my nose outside unless it's a dire emergency. It's supposed to be in the mid 40's or more by the weekend and I'll continue the walking then.
Another week and I'll be out of my brace and will be able to dress warmer and more efficiently if it turns cold again.;) :D

I'm grinning.....I now know what good tired means as well. Went deer hunting with my bad ticker, and planned it so I could park the 4wd at whatever level I wanted on the mountain so I could walk around to where I wanted to stand instead of up or down. :D First morning I got a little fork horn and big help from my oldest son. By dark I was draggin', and I don't mean a deer. In bed by 9:00 and up again by 5:00AM. Temps in the teens each morning. Wednesday, I shot a second deer, a seven pointer (eastern) about 9:30AM not more than fifteen feet from where I shot a virtually identical buck two years ago. I'm still grinning despite being a little out of breath part of the time. Go slower and see more.

Yvsa, I'm just tickled that you're feeling better.
