In need of a new flashlight. what sites do you guys get your lights off of? good selection/reliable etc.

the only sites i know are a few kinfe websites that happen to sell flashlights as well

I buy my flashlights from 4sevens.com they personally guarantee the fenix and nitecore lights they sell for life with an unconditional lifetime warranty. for a personal edc or keychain light I recommend the Nitecore EZAA, its very small, plenty bright, and has 2 power settings - low (10 lumens for up to 20 hours) and high (130 lumens for about an hour). The best part about this light is that it has no moving parts, only a twist head, and therefore no parts or switches to break which makes it very reliable like a mini-maglite only much much brighter. If you are looking for something a little brighter, the new EZ123 and EZCR2 lights just came out, they function the same way with a twisty head and 2 power settings. If clicky lights are your preference then the SmartPD lights from nitecore, or any of the fenix lights should suit your needs, but in my experience the first thing to fail on a flashlight is always the clicky switch, which is why I prefer the twisty lights for just about everything so long as you don't require rapid deployment, such as a self defense or law enforcement situation.

edit: if you are looking for something a little bigger and very powerful, check out the Olight M30 triton... Insanely bright, amazing quality and tons of features. It is however a bit pricey at about $150, but its meant for professionals/LEO's/ Military.

if i was gonna spend $150 i would go with a surefire L4 which is my fav tac lite, the fenix lites are good utility lites and the new tac lites (ie the TK's)they have also look to be good but i dont have one yet myself.

www.lighthound.com is good as is 4-sevens, outdoor america is where i got my last 3 surefires but there website is down right now, but you can call them, they did have a good selection of surefires and prices as good as anyones too but i havent talked to 'em in a yr or so.

Anyone else getting problems with lighthound? Whenever I go to checkout I get a message saying contains unauthenticated content, so I'm hesitant to put in my information. I'm using WinXP and firefox 3.0

Me!

4sevens and lighthound are good guys as well, if you decide to go that route. I spent a lot of money with both companies before getting into the premium lights myself.

Going Gear is good to deal with if he's got what you want... I like supporting other members.

4sevens, Lighthound, Battery Station, OpticsHQ, and BrightGuy are great too.

GoingGear.com is a good place to get lights and other usefull outdoor things. ;) When my 6 month bonus from work comes I plan to buy some lights from them. Already use there firesteels and love them.

I used BatteryJunction for my recent purchase, they had the lowest price. Shipping was fast and you get a little keychain flashlight for free.

Never had a problem with their website.

As for Lighthound: I put an order in on a Wednesday or Thursday. Never checked where they were at, turns out Pearland Tx is right outside of Houston. The next day was the Houston Hurricane from last year. I figure well, I'll see that order in a few months.

I got it the following Tuesday. 3 working days thru a hurricane. I emailed and they said they were working off generators, but they were working. Right then I decided I'd never buy from anyone else unless Lighthound positively couldn't provide it.

i ended up buying a few knives off of knifeworks, and just threw a fenix flashlight in with em. ended up getting a fenix L1D.

thanks for all the websites guys, have em bookmarked now. i think my next light will be one of 4sevens models possibly
