Thanks for the warm wishes, everyone.
I've arrived on the extreme North coast of California. I'll be staying here for at least a few weeks, while I photograph the coastline, The King's Range, The Lost Coast, the redwood forests, the elk harems, the riverways, and the various local natura.
From here, I expect to be going to Washington, to photograph Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Mount Olympus, more North Cascade mountains, the Olympic coastline, the rainforest, the bears (especially the Spirit Bears in near Vancouver), the mountain goats, Pacific Newts, starfish, crabs, anemones, many species of shorebirds, etc. Maybe the Eastern Deserts, too.
Then I'll go back to California, spend time all around the Sierras, but probably mostly Sequoia, King's Canyon, and Yosemite, The Ansel Adams Wilderness, and the John Muir Trail. I should be arriving in that area just in time for the end of Mosquito season and tourist season, and during the dramatic early Autumn storms. Then I'll head over to the White Mountains.
From there, I'll probably head over to the Colorado Plateau, especially SouthEastern Utah, and photograph Canyonlands, Arches, Behind the Rocks Congressional Wilderness, Dead Horse Point, Green River Recreation Area, Grand Staircase Escalante, San Rafael Swell, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Canyon De Chelly, the La Sal mountains, and maybe the Wasatch mountains.
After that, I'll be spending several months in Australia.
After that....?

For now, it looks like I should have intermittent internet access at a friend's house, between forays into the local wilderness.
