Ok, this is not a cat hating thread... LOL ...But, I probably won't see her again for a few days until she's hungry enough to come out from under the bed...

I guess that I should back up, here... :) See, It's kinda one of those days where although I have plenty to do, I'm still kinda bored, drinking some great coffee, and listening to "Bluesville" (XM Radio) outside, where after 2 days of almost nonstop T-storms, the weather today is MUCH nicer, and lending to lazin', LOL... I had just left one of my cats on the porch rail where I'd been leaning against and gone inside to fill my cup. Not a minute had passed when I hear this weird "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSssssss THUD", type of noise, & as I head to the door to see what the commotion is, Ginger (the cat) literally flies right between my legs well on her way upstairs to dive under the bed. LOL ... Turns out, this very long tree bough had fallen through many tree branches from way high up, and had struck the ground less than 15ft. from where we were sitting on the porch. My cat is already kinda shy, so she probably crapped a life out of nine right there on the spot!!! (She's ok, no harm done, just plenty freaked.) Meanwhile, now I have some very convenient wood to beat & chop with my user Busse's!! Should be fun, tough wood... Oak. :D:D

... Funny how things sorta fall into your lap sometimes, huh? (Well, almost...Close one, whew!) :D This oughta be more entertaining that whatever else I should be doing, LOL. Chop test!! ...Anyway, just thought I'd share, and If I get any more good shots, I'll post 'em here. :)
Thanxx 4 lookin'!

a sign from above.

your cat sacrificed one of her nine so you could spend your day chopping.

:)

very cool, about the free wood to chop. Cat will be fine.

Thanks for the story... and pics.

I'm sure Ginger will be fine... these things just help keep them on their toes. :D

Have fun choppin' !!!

You're right, LOL she's already been back outside to see what's up. :D  ... Ok, got a Ruck, an AK, a CG FBM, and the MIGHTY FBMLE ready to roll... Am I forgetting anything??? Hey, cobalt, how's about loaning me a SHBM???? :D:D:D LMAO  ... I KNEW that I should've sent #27 HOGFSH in to BCCS for that new edge already!!! Ah, well. :)

I know how those fraidy cats can be...we've got one for which the vet prescribed Valium!

Kitty probably thought that demented little **** in North Korea had lobbed a missle at your house! :D

I had a little fun before the phone started ringin', LOL...

Ah well, I enjoyed the chat, but 2 beers later (...err, 3...? :o:D ), and a newly sharpened edge on the FBMLE... Just a li'l touch up while yakkin'! I'll have some more fun tomorrow... The FBMLE is definitely better with the branch... Anyways, I don't drink 'n' dice, so I took a shot of the dirty duo... actually, just the AK, the other stayed pretty clean!

While I had the camera out, I took shots of the ONLY OTHER knives that I brought home from BLADE'07... An awesome pair of smaller David Mosier knives. Of the two, my favorite is definitely the small Trigonaut (left), but the Decepter (right) is definitely a nice user too! ...And David himself is a real pleasure to talk with, very friendly! Nice EDGES on these.:thumbup: :D

Man, your thread title had me a little worried.

Glad you have a nice tree to chop:thumbup:

I bought a Rezonate and my friend got a Trigonaut from David Moiser at Blade...think we showed them to ya. Awesome knives, but I've already traded mine to the same friend for a Muddy Meaner.

I will keep my "Neck One" he made me last year...made it with a 5/8 palm swell for me and it just sticks in the hand for such a small knife.

Thanks for the great pics!!!

You bet!! :D ...She seems to be back to normal, which is kinda shy. LOL

...Meanwhile, I was back havin' fun with the tree bough today. ... Funny, I got a little blister within like... 10-15min. LOL, now I see why some folks take sandpaper to the handle grips, and after using a sheet of 600grit on the high points, I was back in BUSSEness. ;)

Took this when I thought I heard a crack...

After THOSE, I was rewarded with another SSSSSSSSssss... THUD, and the branch was downed. I really do like using this FBMLE!
