Well, couldn't make it back to the gunshow to trade for that coco Sebenza, but I did get out and mess around with the firewood. What do you do when you can't find the chainsaw, and don't want to cut firewood after you get home during the work week? A circular saw of course :D.

And an Estwing campers axe.

After I was done, the kindling bucket was empty, so I started shaving some bark etc. Had my new Erik Frosts Mora, Craftsman I think. Also had my Northstar LE, Fox River Magnum, Finn Wolf and a custom camp knife from ML Knives. The Mora didn't work as well as I expected, but did better once I got a good grip on it. I was really surprised at the Fox River Magnum and ML. The ML was like cutting butter! I got some really nice curls with the Fox River Magnum. In no time I had a full bucket of bark, curls and sticks.

Nothing pertinent, just goofing off. Not even worth posting, but I had a good time.

Sounds worthy of posting to me.

I confess, I've used a circular saw and a saws-all on fire wood too :o. Usually small stuff like 3" or 4" branches or scrap 2X4's. I don't own a chainsaw so I use what I got.

If you had some fun and learned something, it wasn't completely goofing off.
