i have always loved knives but around 2012 got much more into them. Was there to buy the brand new Charlows etc. Around that time on here someone posted a picture of a GEC Pemberton with buffalo horn scales...clip blade... I fell in love with it. After searching high and low, I found someone willing to sell me one. I carried that knife everywhere.. In 2014 I was spending a lot of time on the road for work in hotels, and we moved.. and it was lost...I searched anywhere I could think of. Couldn’t find it. I supposed it was in some hotel room somewhere. I posted a WTB on here in hopes of trying to ease the pain..no luck.. I put a WTB in my sig line...nothing. GEC released new Pembertons..wasn’t the same..

This knife became my Grail..I wanted another so bad. Every grail thread on here made me remember it..posted about it just last week.

Well this morning while looking in the cushions of a chair, I found my knife! The handles had lightened, due to drying out over 6 years I guess...oiled them and now they are as I remembered..little rust, which I fixed..and back in my pocket.

I know this is not anyone else’s grail..but I had to tell someone.

Glad your knife turned up. How many times in the last six years you sat on that chair and were so close:eek::eek:

The chair is in the basement. When I’m sick or coughing bad at night I go sleep in that chair so my wife can sleep peacefully....

Such stories are always good news :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Great victory! Chairs are notorious devourers of knives.....Moved recently and that's often the time that losses happen but throwing out muck I searched the pockets of an old pair of black jeans, inside was a Chambriard le compact in Stag I hadn't seen since 2012-13! Hope springs eternal ;):D

Still haven't unpacked most of the knives...just getting the furniture and pictures to my liking seems to be taking ages....

That's amazing, Will; glad you happened to finally find it!:cool::cool::thumbsup:
Maybe we need a thread in which folks post tales of the knife they've "misplaced" for the longest time before eventually finding. ;)

Fantastic story. I lost a tank sized custom in a chair for a year before it was found, so I know the feeling.

aye, almost lost a 14 once in a taxi because it had slipped out of the little watch pocket in the jeans.
