Hello people, google is playing 'Big Brother' on knives and guns. Go to google and do a google for 'Knifemakers' Guild'. You will get the warning 'This site may harm your computer'

That warning is on my web site also.

Stay Warm,

I was seeing the same message all over the place, pretty much every site on a google search, a few minutes ago but it seems to have gone away now. I guess they got hacked or had an employee misconfigure something.

I had a knew icon at the bottom of my screen this morning that was notifying me that google has detected a program that was trying to change my search settings. There was another one next to it for yahoo saying the same thing. It got really active when I signed in, and did the same thing on when I signed into another forum.

That really has nothing to do with playing big brother. It is a warning that comes up when you are about to open a website that may contain some kind of malware (virus, spyware, trojan, etc.).

I just Googled the Knifemakers Guild and your site and got no such warning.

google had an issue earlier where every single link for every single search was displaying that warning.

Make sure you dont install any of the Google or Yahoo plugins in your browser. Its just spyware anyway.

Looks like someone just put a checkmark in the wrong place.

I'm always amazed at how little interest there is on forums and newsgroups about computer security these days. New laptops can be remotely disabled, something they claim is a "safety feature". I've never seen anyone suggest this might be a bad thing. It's hard to assess the security threat when no one seems willing to go on record about them.
