anyone ever check out googlearth.com
pretty freaky what satelites can do. the picture aint clear but you sure as hell can make out your house from 1000 ft in the air

Ok, thats a little freaky. I can see my Suburban sitting in my driveway. I can even get a good idea of the time that the shot was taken by who's building pools in the neighborhood.

What a rip! Man, I can't believe a company that runs on Linux doesn't support Mac! I'm just shakin my head. Guess they had to go for the masses first and will worry about us elitists later.

A MAC!!!! I can't believe you! I don't know if I can call you a friend anymore Dave! You'd better give me that knife back too, it's not Mac friendly! :D

That is a ironic that their system running Linux doesn't support a Mac. What OS do you run?

Ya Google Earth is kindy freaky. It doesn't really show my little tiny town but it does show the geography of the area and the basics of a town being there. Given that I live in the Northwest Territories that's pretty amayzing.

When I first heard that some governments were opposed to Google Earth (too much info for potential terrorists to have) I thought that they were exaggerating as to how much info was available through it. Now that I've seen it I kind of understand why they were a little freaked out.

Sean, I just got a new 20" iMac this weekend, it's running 10.4 Tiger, which is BSD. Maybe Apple is just too close to their chest to allow much interoperability. In some ways they're no better than M$. As to your knife's Mac compatibility, I'm sorry buddy but you got that wrong - my entire collection loves the Mac! :D Because no matter what the machine works and delivers all my photos of my nice stuff. (Now if I could just figure out how to get em off the old machine and onto this one...)

I'll keep my eye on Google Earth, they say they're working on a Mac version. I wanna play too!

I'm sure they'll get something done soon for you Mac'ies.

As to moving your data either buy a small 4 port switch, then setup your computers with a private IP address and they should be able to see eachother, then move your data. Another way would be to buy a 1GB USB memory stick and transfer the data using that. If you've got alot of data this could take a while but it would definitely work. A DVD-RAM drive would be nice right about now as well!
