Hi everyone, I have been using Gorilla Glue super glue on my shop knives. These are scrap Micarta and Dymond wood handles on ATS-34. So far the results are amazing. I can pound on the handles with a hammer and break off the Dymond wood, leaving a layer of Dymond wood attached to the metal handle, the glue joint being stronger than the Dymond wood. I do notice that the best joints are made with the super glue applied sparingly. Has anyone else tried this glue? It is so fast and easy to use.

I'm not a bladesmith, but I have used Gorilla Glue. I also found that a small amount of the glue, a little moisture (water) on one of the contact surfaces, and moderate pressure make this an exceptional adhesive.

It seems to me that especially richard J has attached his stall mat handles with super glue. The only thing I would be worried about would be if it was exposed to a lot of heat, a lot of cold, a lot of wet, or a combination of the three. this may loosen a glue that was more meant to hold little stuff together, not something that is taking a lot of stress in adverse conditions.
