Your original design looked good but these look perfect, can't wait to see some in-use pics !!!!

I like both designs and feel they each will excell in their own way. The first design is overbuilt and is a beast. These are more in line as a traditional hatchet.

They look good. I still like my Original GossHawk. I would like to try a new one side by side to see how they compare.

Dying to test out the one with the mods we suggested. Looks AWESOME Scott!

Thanks Kev. These kinda went to the back burner. Not much interest. I do have one I plan on finishing and using during deer season.

I have alot of Interest in them. Just no funds :( Plus was in Iraq when these were being talked about. :)

The two in the picture came to me - one for me and one for the son. I have used mine a bit and found it a solid tool. There is no question they will hold up to dang near any type hard work. They chop well for a small tool and can also be used as a knife by gripping up behind the edge. And they hold an edge wonderfully. Scott definitely has the HT on A2 down perfect. I was extremely pleased with edge retention after chopping in very hard dry wood.

These are great tools.
