I don't see how they are making money by charging 20 dollars for these sheaths.... Very durable, high quality sheath... Fit my CAK & WWII pretty much spot on and aI feel is much more practical than the traditional sheaths!

Thanks HI for making such hi quality items very affordable!

Forumites picked up a bunch of these on closeout from another manufacturer, and modified them with an additional snap to fit the HI models. Steve Tall brought it all together for helping out the Kami Medical Fund. It is not a money-making venture. The sheaths and labor were donated.

Thanks for the shout-out, Heespharm. Like Howard said, everything was donated by forumites, so the entire $20 goes to help the kamis.

I'm guessing that Yangdu still has a bunch of these remaining, but when they're gone, they're gone. I recently bought another one and had it shipped with a sheathless Ang Khola DOTD.

Here's a link for more info about these sheaths:

Steve that is a very nice and compassionate thing you did for the Kamis. I've always wondered how they were making enough money on the sheaths to help. May God bless you and the Kamis.
In studying about the Kamis of Nepal and really most Nepalis, if anyone needs help in this world they are top on the list. With all the political, social, and economic troubles how do they survive in our competitive world.
You inspire me as does one of my favorite quotes below.

"If we had no Winter, then Spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." —Anne Bradstreet

I can't claim the credit here. There were anonymous donors (from the forum) involved. And the money to help the kamis is coming from the buyers of these sheaths, who also deserve credit for what is essentially their $20 donations.
