Just like the subject says, I got $300.00 to spend and I am looking for something good. I have been thinking about getting a William Henry Icon w/Carbon Fiber inlays, if anyone has one and would like to tell me about it that would be great. The knife I get is probably going to be a safe queen and not carried. Looking for something in the 3.50" to 4.00" blade length and something in but not limited to s30v. Handle materials of carbon fiber and/or titanium are a plus. Let me know.

Forgot to mention I just got a large Sebenza last week so they are out of the running.

I would say get a small Sebbie or a Mnandi. I got a small Sebbie two weeks ago and plan to try to trade a few knives at a show this weekend for either a large Sebbie or a Mnandi. You can never have enough CRKs :D .

Arlee Niemi Megaladon. You can find it at www.centerlocknives.net I can attest that I have one and it is an excellent knife. If you are OK with autos I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Good luck.

sebenza is a good knife for 300 bucks, but obenauf is better. also if you like auto's Microtech ut6 and halo3 are going for 300 bucks.

Lots of good knives available for that price, especially if you can make it to a knife show (OKCA is this wkend, leaving tomorrow!). William Henry's are great but I believe the Icon is their lower end series made in Japan. I believe you'd be much happier with a T-10 or T-12. Better than a lot of customs in quality and the carbon fiber ones weigh nothing and are well under $300. Happy hunting.

If I were choosing a safe queen, I would probably get a decorated Mini Sebenza. I love the way that looks with the patterns and anodizing. Might be over 300 though, in fact I believe it is. Take a look at www.bladeart.com or www.knifeart.com . They're sure to have something you like in that price range.

Another vote for Obenauf , and the Mnandi is also a great option.

Also keep an eye on the For Sale forums. There's a lot of nice stuff for 300 bucks.

Hey you guys recomending the mini sebbie, he did say that he wanted blade length of 3.5" to 4".

Someone in the "for sale" section had a couple of Buck/Mayo knives for $210.

I agree.

I agree also, can't go wrong with the Brend. I have one and like it more every time I carry it.

Here's a review I did on the Brend

Of course I'm a big Fan of Mike Obenauf as well so I would not hesitate to reccomend him but at $300 you'd be getting one of his small folders, $350 for a large.

I also plan on picking up one of the Extrema Ratio folders as soon as they're readily available... they look great!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I ended up spending a little less and getting a William Henry carbon fiber spear point and putting a little money in my savings account. The only problem with this arrangement is that now there is $100.00 just sitting there in my savings begging to be spent on a knife and I am very weak willed when it comes to buying knives. So much pressure.
