So tionight (well, early morning) I saw that lame cutlery show on the shop at home channel! Holy crap was that a funny show to watch! Every 5 minutes they bring out a new collection which is "THE" ultimate! HA! And where the heck did these guys learn to pronouce some of these words?

I know this is really old news for y'all, so I won't go into too much more detail about how funny the show was. But I do want to share the funniest moment of the show. I think the guy's name was Shayne, or maybe Shawn. Anyways, he's trying to sell a "stick katana" for $50 and doing his spiel. Then he goes on a rant, telling viewers if they buy a katana from them, to PLEASE store it with the edge up. Then he says that he goes into lots of stores and sees their katanas being stored edge down. This, he says, is DISRESPECTFUL! HA! A 440 somethingorother stainless steel blade ground by a machine, fake hamon etched onto the blade, gaudy sheaths made of lord knows what, and fittings cast of cheap metal in snake shapes and all kinds of nonsense ISN'T A KATANA MAN! HOW DISRESPECTFUL IS THAT!!!!

Man that was funny!

Go to www.shopathome.com to see their totally wicked awesome sword and knife collections :)

I used to watch them for the laughs, but now I can't stomach it like I used to. Their car salesman tactics are out of hand BUT there retail prices for some of there bowies are beyond funny, there sickning.:barf:

The sadening part is that I know they must sell a sh*tload of them. More disgusting is that I would bet that the buyers of a lot of those sets with like 20 a piece of a few knives are guys who know they are crap, but take them to fleamarkets and whatnot and sell them for $10 a pop. Often the people they are selling them to are not looking for a fine piece of cutlery, but rather something that looks wicked to intimidate or use on others.:barf:

The real sad part is when your a custom maker and someone comes up to you that has seen that crap and asks why yours cost so much.Dave:mad:

The best was when they were advertising the Navy Seal knife set. It was like $49.00 or something like that. It was the saddest 15 minutes I have ever watched. You got 6 knives for that price, and boy were they :barf:. If I bought that set I would have to jump off a friggin' building :p

haven't managed to catch the segment with these 2 idiots yet... tried but never found.

what would it come up as on my menu thing? It funny some of the crap they try selling on that chanel.
