Love it - super sharp. Had to jump on it when I saw he was off to the Gulf. Thanks Yangdu!

I know what that feels like -- I just sharked a 13" CAK by Sher today. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Sher makes a good, tough, sharp blade. I'm going to miss his work. I just got a 13" Villager CAK by Sher delivered today, too. At 20oz and nearly 7/16" spine, it does look like a tough and handy tool. It went home with my nephew to give him some time with both it and a 13" BDC so he can choose which he wants. I hope to get together with him on Saturday to do some hiking and chopping.

Congrats on the new khukuri. Now go make some wood chips.
And be safe.

I lot of people only go for the larger heavier khuks but I think the smaller ones are plenty good for chopping. Here's a 15" Bonecutter I got a while back.

Great news, thank you

Just got my 13 inch CAK. Handy, tough little kuk, fat spine and stout, but rough finished (Chitlangi's spoiled me). That's ok, I plan on using it rough anyway. Do anything to it and not worry. Only thing I might suggest - just because the kuk is a bit smaller doesn't mean the karda should be sized for Barbie to use. I'd rather discard it and the chakmak to make the sheath more slim. Guess I could use the karda for a toothpick! Ha.

One more thing. With my index finger on the cho, it balances perfectly like weight scales. I like that feature...a lot. I have one other knife that balances similiarly (balances at the finger guard) - and her name is "Mary Poppins", because she's practically perfect in every way.

Happy with the purchase. Can't wait for my kerambit.

Kevin
