Got a 560

Hey guys,

Ive been seeing all the great pics of 560's and I have been wanting to pick one up. Finally found one at a good price trolling the bay. Its in very good condiiton. Looks like its been a pocket carry only knife as the blade is basically untouched and the scales just show some scuffs here and there like its been rubbed. maybe change or something. Anyway here are some pics, definitely a carrier and not a displayer. I really like the weight, the balance and the feel with the built in finger grooves.

Sorry about worse than normal pics, I dropped the wifes camera and screwed up the retracting lens:o The only good thing is I now have to get her a new one and you can bet it will be better suited for knife pics than this one:)

Fritz, that's a great looking 560... They are lite and I like that alot about them... Hell, I just like the look of them... You did real good for sure... I say that alot... :eek: ... don't I ... But you did... It would look great with mine... The pics are great too... Thanks for sharing... ITE

You're right, I like to just look at em too-regardless of the combination of handle and blade they are always sharp(no pun intended-well maybe a little:D) The pics look better once posted-they looked bad on my media viewer and on photobucket, I'm pleasantly surprised. Dont tell my wife though, I want to get her a better camera.

One question as I know you have a bunch of these: Mine has a little blade wiggle when it is closed only, tight as a drum front/back and sideways when open. Is this consistent or just mine? At 1st I thought the blade was a little thinner than a 110 and that was why, but comparison shows them the same. I figgered it would turn out that way since they build out with 110 blades and a 110 can be built with a 560.
 
Fritz, I have one or two like that... Some 110s do the same thing... I'm going to take mine other to Leroys sometime here soon... Someone will be hear soon to tell us about all the play in the blade... Sorry I can't help you out more... I have a 110 that moves side to side open or closed... I hate that... :mad: ... It's going to see Leroy too...
 
Fritz, Nice 560 and the blade is stamped as such . Those are harder to find . On the blade play you can let Leroy look at it . Your dropped camera makes better photos than mine . Thanks for posting them . DM
 
I am sure Leroy can tighten a 560 up much better than Buck. One of my 560 users got so loose that when I finally sent it to Buck, their solution was to peen the crapola out of the blade pivot pin.

Just beware if you send a 560 to Buck... Ask first how they will fix it. And if it is for a blade change, you will get back a 110 blade and not a 560 blade.

As long as the blade play isnt in the open position I dont think I will worry about it. Since this will be a user, if it gets loose open, it will go in somewhere. Thanks for the heads up PR.

Sithus, no this one was by itself, unless you mean the seller had other blades on seperate auctions, in that case I dont know.
