Got a 710 new for $85. Good deal?

Well, new warranty repaired. plain edge, uncoated blade.

As the title says was this a good deal?

Yes. It's rare if Benchmade repairs something and it's any less than stellar. In any flavor $85 is a bargain.
 
Neuron, with the correct answer! I have just recently sharpened my first knife in D2. It was a Queen country cousin. It is not the sharpest knife I have ever held but it is very close to the top. So, natch, when I saw the 710 I was like: "Ooohhh! Cool!"
 
I'd say so. I was consideirng picking one up from the clean up sale too. How does the blade look? Basically brand new?
 
I don't have the knife yet. I will most likely be week after next before I can lay my hands on it. This is because the store is closed until Feb. 12 for a company cruise.

That makes it easier to figure out which company it is... :D I didn't notice the sale though. Gonna have to go take a look

Sounds like a good deal to me. The 710 is one of my favorite knives ever.
 
Anotother Voice, certainly a good deal. I paid near twice that for my 710d2 satin/plain. Great knife, one I still get a kick out of it, and carry and use it (it has held up quite well, just some wear on the clip really..), and glad to see a Benchmade forum:)
