Got a bk16! Far better than a mora, like the sheath, like the coating. I will post some pics as soon as i can. Came vary sharp. Heavier than expected. Handel fits my mits nicely. Don't no about the coating, may strip it.

Thank you Ethan becker for making such a grate knife, and thank you spark & the mods that make this forum such a grate place

Grats on the new 16. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say the 16 was heavier than expected.

I am jealous. It's next on my list. Prob order a bk10 while I am at it. To save on shipping of coarse:). Enjoy and looking forward to those pics.

Congrats! A 16 is on my short list, behind a 9 and a 2.

BTW, with my job I have spent quite a bit of time in Eastern KY. Beautiful.

if you are getting a 9 first, get a 16 next....you'll have no need for a 2 with that pair--throw in a 14 and you will never need another blade (but that never stops us from getting more:D)

still need a bk2 for the end times durability factor!!!! when the rest of the skinny blades are gone and the poccylipes has arrived the bk2 will still be standing strong!!!! (ok that is a bit much but you get the idea!!!l) lol:p

The pics as promised

Hey Mountain Mist....

Love the pic.....Almost like a flower arrangement!!!.....Glad you are happy about your 16......keep them pix coming !.....

Thank You.....

Ethan

You made a great choice. I'm loving my 16 and it's the first Becker I've purchased. I can't get over how easy it is to sharpen, and how well it holds the edge. The handle ergos are great, even for my large hands with sausage-like fingers.

Just a great, useful, no-frills design. I don't care much for the stock sheath, but it is nicely done. I had a simple leather sheath made for it, and I now carry it all the time outdoors.

I never thought I'd say this, but I've been eyeing a 9 now. I have lots of downed timber to play with.

I just finished up the mods on my 16 today with a bad a$$ sharpening job (might be my sharpest yet). Guess its time for some pants next.

Loving the flower stix on the 5.11!
