Got a Benchmade 42A for a Christmas present!

I was surprised this morning when I opened up a gift from my loving wife. She got me a Benchmade 42A for a present! I guess leaving some colored pictures of this knife around the house helped! The anodizing looks very, very cool. At different angles it changes from blue to purple. The blade was ground very nice, but I need to sharpen it more. I like my blades to be scary sharp. The handles were cast very well. The only defect I could find was the torx screw on one of the handles isn't flush compared to the other screw. I guess its o.k.. Hell, it's the fastest bali I ever played with! Now, I can't wait for my normal 42 to come in!

Now, if Benchmade would make a 5" Bowie bladed 42! I'll get two!!

I got a BM42 and a 42S. i'm in heaven right now

only thing is, I didnt get many other presents, but i'm so happy with these that I couldnt care less

I've named the serrated one 'strength' and the plain one 'honor' (inspired by the movie "Gladiator)
now its just a question of if I should attempt to thermally oxidize one of them.....i'm afraid I might hurt it

With one screw not being flush, you might just try to tighten the screw. On mine this happened and it just happened that the loctite loosened on one of them.

No knives here, but I got a Sharpmaker.
