Hello folks. Sorry I've been pretty much absent around here lately. My health situation was going well for a while, but took a turn for the worse several weeks ago. I check in from time to time, but really haven't posted much. Everything just seems to be a major struggle these days and some stuff going on at the home front as well.
At some point a couple weeks ago, I was sharing some messages with porch member Mrknife (Jack). During our talk, I expressed interest in finding another Forum Stag Jack at some point because I had sold mine to my buddy Ron (Half/Stop). Earlier this week I saw I had a message from Jack asking if I received a package. Unfortunately the treatments I'm receiving now effect me quite adversely so they keep me over night or longer if need be at the hospital. So when I got home the next day, sure enough there was a package from Jack.
Yep, you guessed it. Jack sent me one of his Stag Jacks. A real fine example too. Very even stag. These in my opinion were among a few of the best bladeforum knife offerings.
Thank you so much Jack. And thank you all for the continued messages showing care and support. It means so much.

Beautiful knife, and awesome story. Thanks for sharing

Just goes to show you that us NYC guys really do have a heart. Way to go Jack. And, keep up the good fight Bob.

Alan

Fantastic gesture Jack!!! Bob is such a worthy recipient, get well Bob:thumbup:

Thanks fellas.
Alan, a NYC boy showing lots of heart and support to a Boston guy. Huh, whodathunkit. :D
But in all actuality regardless of where we all come from, the porch folk are the best anywhere and Jack just fits right in. :D

Very nice! This is just great a place to come to when you watch all the bad news on television. Thanks for sharing, both of you. :)

Some darn nice people on this forum, that is the truth.

You hang in there Bob, we're all pulling for you. That Jack is an awesome gentleman - very nice! OH

That is a terrific gesture, and another example of why this place is so great!!

Amazing generosity. I absolutely love that Forum Jack. Missed out on that run, but cannot stop drooling every time I see one. Tried to find one reasonably priced on the exchange. But just couldn't get myself to pay two or three times the original price. Maybe some day.

Bob, wishing you the best. Sending prayers your way.

What a wonderful gesture, Jack. Bob, I'm praying for your continued healing and comfort my friend.

Bob I am so glad Jack sent you that knife. He is the kind of person Neil Young wrote the song Heart of Gold about. Glennbad Hit the nail on the head.

Some darn nice people on this forum, that is the truth.

Ain't that the truth Glenn and Mrknife is certainly one of them.

Jack,
Your generosity made Bob smile, You are a good guy in my book.

Bob,
You and Your Family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Keep a positive attitude, stay as strong as You can and
when You really need it, expect a miracle.

And You are right, it is one of the best Blade Forum knives.

Bob: Could not have happened to a better man! You hang tough and know we're praying and rooting for you.

Jack: Thanks for taking care of Bob.
