Hey All,
Picked up a BK2 on the exchange, It came stripped, mirror polished, then what looks like a mustard patina done. It also came with micarda scales, the edge is convexed and is razor sharp. I'm thrilled with it so far but thinking of a different set of scales. It came with the stock sheath which is not bad, but I really enjoy sheath making, I have been making sheaths for a short time now and I really enjoy it. Im thinking of upgrading my status to maker. I try to make my stuff with fit and function in mind, I don't really do much embellishment other than some line work and texture. I like clean lines and simplicity. This one I made from 8/9oz Leather, dyed with Fiebings med brown, waterproofed and conditioned with Montana Pitch Blend Dressing and Hand stitched with artificial sinew. The retention strap snap is a gunmetal color. The Dressing darkens the color a bit, but it give a nice rich glow when polished up. The blade fits like a glove and without the strap snapped I can hold it upside down and shake it pretty good and it does not move at all. Hope you all like it, and thanks for looking.

I found the old thread that CRKS did when he first modded this blade. I did not get it from him but this is the blade when it was originally done. The scales have been dyed since but it is the blade.http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/751983-Becker-BK2-Mirror-Finish-amp-Maroon-Micarta

I like how u make the tops, the lil embellishment around the mouth. two-thumbs up IMO

I admire your work. Very nice. You have a real talent there! Thanks for posting and sharing.
All the best

WOW, that is a great looking sheath. Old school style is still tough in my book. I really like leather on my blades..the bigger the knife, the more I like it, and the BK2 is the biggest little knife out there.

Go orange, you really should, that is REALLY nice, and I gotta say, the simplistic yet elegant design is killer!

That is a rockin sheath! Love those scales too!

Thank you, the scales are nice but they feel flat to me, I like a little more rounded feel if that sounds right?

Thats a fine looking setup. Nice work!

Thanks Jonny

Thank you much Gun, I also like old school, Leather just plain works.

Thank You sir

Thanks, Sometimes simple plain works IMHO. We see everyone trying to put the kitchen sink on them, we forget the keep it simple motto.

very nice work man. i think you should do as you said and upgrade to maker.

Thanks Tman, Im really considering it? possibly by next week.

Looks like what you have there is a CRKS modded BK2. Minus the patina. They don't seem to offer them anymore.

Never heard of CRKS, was it a person here on the forum??

If you want to sell the scales let me know.
Dean

Will do
