I'm not sure if its normal, since i got it from ebay as "Like new" condition. It really looks like new, but the blade is hard to open, you can't just start it with thumb and open to the end with a move of the wrist but have to actually push it with your thumb to the end, and it doesnt go very smooth.

When you try to close the pliers its again very hard and you have to use your both hands and put quite some power into it as well.

Do i need lose the nits or just use some kind of oil to smooth it up?

There's two things you can do: 1. send it to LM and it will take 3-4 weeks, or, 2. buy two 6 lobed security torx bits and loosen it up yourself.

Depends on where you live. I'm in Ohio. During more than a decade I have sent several bunged up samples to Warranty, all came back fixed within ten days. In only one of those cases was there any factory defect. All the others were my fault, but Leatherman didn't charge me, anyway. Not so sure about DIY loosening unless you know what you're doing. There are issues of alignment for blade lockup and Loctiting the screws to hold their adjustment.

Maybe I'm reading this in a simplified fashion, possibly to the point of misunderstanding the situation but... You say you can't flick the blade out with your wrist (after starting the blade with your thumb and passing the detent) and you have to use two hands to close the pliers? I was under the assumption that that is appropriate for this tool? Certainly how mine works O.o

Just remember that all new Leathermans tend to be real stiff. It takes a couple months of use before they loosen up. Both my Charge and Wave were like that.
