The bk2 and the cold steel hawk delivered yesterday went out for a quick pic trip.

Sweet. Just ordered the CS trail Hawk today myself.
 
The trail hawk is what I wanted but I could not find any.In fact I kind of thought they quit making them,every store said out of stock.It was such a good deal on the bk2 I just settled on the frontier hawk and ordered them both.Also had to do some work on that hawk before taking it out.The lower edge of the blade had rolled over when they sharpened it at the factory.I was afraid it would damage it more if I did'nt fix it before using it.Very happy with it now.

what does the modern woodstomper use a tomahawk for? Typical machete/large knife duties like light wood processing?
 
That frontier hawk is one of my favorite woods tools. Pound for pound their real hard to beat. I have both the trail hawk and the frontier, the trail hawk bites deeper but the frontier has a wider blade/bit. I don't tend to take the frontier out as much because I don't have a good sheath to cover the blade. Before I started knife whoring, lets say 2 years ago, I did everything with my hawk.

I ordered one from a place, just to find out they were back ordered. Then I found one at an obvious place. Hint: In Greek mythology, a member of a nation of women warriors reputed to have lived in Scythia. ;) :D

I definetly need some kind of sheath for it.I had to carry it when I took those pics and I had to be slow and careful

Sorry guys I just figured out how to post pics and they always come out in weird places.I would like them to be a lot more neat looking.It's a waist pac I guess you would call it.Got it at wal-mart.Suspenders area a must with this kind of pac because it will definetly pull your pants down.I think Bladeite will give me another infraction for these pics too:)
