Hey All,
I Waited and waited and waited some more and finally I got one! A CRKT 2903 Hissatsu Folder. It arrived this morning and I was delighted. It is a BIG knife. A near total Black-Out. Except for the lettering on the blade and the Blade Edge itself, everything visible on this knife is Flat Black. It's Outburst Assisted Opening system is mighty fast though It took many flicks of the thumb to lighten it up even a little bit. I am sure that with use it will be smooth as silk. The Blade Configuration is beautiful! Over the weekend the Wife & I picked up a new Headboard for our bed and it came in a gigantic cardboard box that was leaning against the wall in the garage empty when I came back from the mailbox with the new CRKT. 8 or 9 minutes later and I had enough sliced up pieces of cardboard to fill a HeftyBag. I said "Sliced" not Chopped. It is a Slicer for sure. I had to go to work so I decided the 2903 would be today's EDC, since then I have cut Nylon Banding more large Boxes and did a little Fabrication trimming on some plastic parts, all with the Hissatsu. No Problems! The knife is for sure Heavy Duty. I am a BIG guy and do not mind Large knives in my pockets. I paid $63.00 with shipping and so far could not be happier. OH! One Complaint.... I am NOT fond of the AutoLawks System though I have learned how to use one hand to open and close the Hissatsu. I would MUCH rather of had a Manual Style lock such as the system on My Carbon Fiber BIG-DOG. I know I have only had this knife for about 10 hours or so, but for the most part it has not been out of my hand. I don't believe anyone will get rid of any of their exsisting folders because they aquired one of these. Though I do believe they will not have any issues making it an (Every Day Carry) option. I did not have a chance to take photos yet but I can't wait to get some jpegs of the Hissatsu with My S&W Black Hammerless AirWeight. I did not put in all the dimensions and such because those who have been looking know em and those who don't will have fun surfing the web to find them. Nice Job Columbia River Knife & Tool. Now I think I would like a Camo Triumph... If anyone has picked one up, let us know. Thanks..... ~baba~
