Well , the fiance gave me a gayle bradley. Awesome. Love it. I think the best part of this knife is the blade and the lockup. its totally solid. I was worried about the weight but its a non issue. I dont completely dig the scales though. I think they should have spent the extra dough manufacturing the scales flush with the liners. that and much more jimping. and more aggressive too like that found on the manix 2. that being said, I'm sure this one will have much pocket time. Its one hoss of a knife. Oh yeah one more thing, I think this model in particular would have been appropriate to produce in the golden facility, having the taxas etching on the blade and whatnot. Not complaining about the quality at all, top notch. I guess having texas and taiwan stamped next to each other seems odd to me. I guess I;m just not completely comfortable with a global economy. I'm bitching too much. great knife love it, thanks for making an awesome product.

I am not a Spyderco guy but the GB is the best production knife for the money I have purchased.

Unwrapped the beast as a gift from the wife. This knife feels so comfortable in the hand and the quality is top notch. The M4 blade and CF handle just does something for me.

I love mine. The genius of the handle design didn't shine through for me until I started using it for heavy cutting chores -- it doesn't leap out as super ergonomic until you really cut with it. As for the Taiwan issue, as has been mentioned before, they are a democratic ally and a hedge for us in that part of the world against less friendly countries -- I have no problem with the origin, especially considering the quality they are cranking out.

Congrats.

Great knife. I'm hoping to see a progression with this knife even though its a collab like we have with others. D1-4, Native 1-5, the Para improvements, etc.

As smooth and solid as the GB is I'd like to see a deeper cutout to access the lock easier and maybe a gripper CF.

But if not, its still a primo cutting tool.

When I got back into knives a while back I was trying to focus on just about anything but Spyderco.
The hole... I just can't stand the aesthetics of the hole.
Can't beat the function of that damn hole - I love it.
Then came the GB. It's the best value I have in a blade and spanked the competition on the job.
Gotta hand it to Sal, he's put out some winners.
Love the collabs.
