Well, my pics aren't nearly as impressive as Horn Dog's log splitter thread, but what the heck, I'll post anyway, can there be to many Battle Mistress pics?

My new to me FBM LE:

is this the unserialized FBMLE that was in the exchange a few days ago???

the one with the convexed edge???

I didn't like my FBMLE - too thick and bulky. But DANG it looks purdy - like an original SHBM - in that light.

Wow.

Wow...I kinda miss her already... :(

Just make sure you feed her a lot of stuff - she's always hungry!

Nice pics bro, congrats on that score --- you'll be very glad you got that one down the road...

Great Pics and a Super Knife!!! I wish I had one, but got three FFBMs instead.

Thanks guys, I'm already in love with this one.

Unserialized FBMLE? Can anyone explain that? Beautiful knife, btw, Mapper.

Raining said he requested it that way from the shop.... that's all I know. She's a user, so the serial number didn't mean anything to me.

usually, LEs come with a serial number....for example, i got #881.....but, a few people custom ordered a FBMLE without the number.....

technically, i would not consider them true LEs because they lack the number.....

they are more like custom shop FFBMs......with certain features that make them resemble LEs.....

so they are FFBMs with a satin full height flat grind blade with magnum tigerhide slabs.....

please correct me if i am wrong...

quick question, does your blade have the custom shop laser engraving on it???

Thanks for the response, New, but I'm pretty familiar with he LE thing. I have a few myself. First knife was a BATACLE.

The reason that I asked is that it seems an unserialed FBMLE would be worth a LOT of money, seeing as how there are probably about 1000 numbered ones out there, but probably no more than a few UN-numbered ones out there without CS logos (as is evident in the photos).

Man, Mapper, I don't know that I would have used that one. I can feel ya, because I only have 2 queens, and one of them is a one-off; Busses are meant to be used and abused, but that one probably would have gone in a safe and kept for a LONG time.

More power to ya, though. Now that you've begun, treat her like a rental car. ;) The LE's are beautiful blades, and to me the FMBLE is a work of art.

No custom shop logo on this one.... Raining had already used this one by the time it got to me. Rare, huh? Anyone got a couple grand they want to cough up?? :D:D

Nah, I think I'll just keep her. Already attached. If an unserialed is that rare, just makes it all the better.

Do it up, brother. Can't no one fault you for that, though I think I'd slap myself if I ever used my ClipVariant SFNO...especially with the CG satin/tiger sabre NO I just got. Man...I can't get that thing outta my hands. Even wifey thinks it's beautiful.

thanks for the info gatman.....

and by the way, this blade was used by the previous owner.....mapper bought it used......

it was given a nice convex edge.....

An un-numbered LE shouldn't be worth any more than a numbered LE. Numbers 1 and 13 (photo knife) should command a premium and low numbers are cool but I would pay exactly $0.00 more for an un-numbered LE than one in the hundreds.

Some people have an attachment to certain numbers (27, 37, etc.) and will pay a premium but I think that's pretty rare.

No, they are just LE's with no number, not FFBMs with full height satin grinds. They predate the FFBMs. No need to muddy the water surrounding the FBMs anymore than it already is with the different variations. I see no extra premium in an unnumbered LE, but I have two of them so I wouldn't lust after them.

Nice grab mapper!
