I ordered 2 this morning from Knifecenter.com and had a buddy go pick it up. I bought one for my girlfriend. They were delivered to us at work today. Great knife! I was a bit discouraged by the size of the large one, but not this one. Much better in the pocket too.:) You should of seen the expression on my girl's face when she found out what the wave was for. She let out a Tim Allen grunt (in a girly sort of way). I hope she doesn't get dispatched to high risk incident and go for Commander before her Beretta.LOL:)

Hey Lanning.

You got your lady a Mini-Commander too? Good call, guy. Her Tim Allen/primate grunt must have brought a smile to your face, eh? :D

I have a green handled MC ordered from Triple Aught that should be here tomorrow. Cannot wait to get it, but one thing you typed concerned me re the standard Commando. Does it seem just too big?

The reason I'm asking is that I also have a Super Commando backordered from Triple Aught - even bigger than the standard. Just wondering if it might feel a bit big to carry. On the other hand, I'm not law enforcement, so my belt has lots of room with no need for other stuff.

I got mine Friday. Very cool knife, even from left hand draw. Now, I'm going to have to get a Commander for right pocket. Wave 'em out and you got a full size in saber grip and a Min Com in reverse, a combination that is good for most social problems.

I don't think the original commander is too big for EDC. I just prefer the smaller one. With all the other stuff I am carrying, it's just a bit easier. I used to carry a Buck Strider, so big knives don't bother me too much. I just prefer the mini over the larger one. I was the same way with the SOCOM, and the BM Stryker. The full size one is fine. I will probably get one again for collection purposes anyhow. I've decided to go all Emerson. Oh, by the way, my Girlfriend loves her mini-com. She was practicing the wave last night. My roomate (a Specwar carrier) was very surprised and impressed to say the least.

Buy her a lefty commander, then a wedding ring.
Any girl that waves and grunts is a keeper.
Make sure she does not loose the handcuff key when you guys play togther.
