yeah, baby! got the black-anodized half-serrated, 3 in. 705 axis-lock. wow, smooth action and solid, SOLID lock! i think it's gonna be riding in my pocket a lot! bought it from Skylands Cutlery at a gun-knife show in Allentown, PA. also got the CRKT neck peck; cute little knife, wicked sharp - just have to figure out the clip (it seems a bit loose when i screw it on). the guy's got a lot of knives for Blade show in NY! i think i'm maxed out for now though!!

come on Axis fans! what do you think about yours? i'm sitting here flicking the BM..

Welcome to the wonderful world of Axis Addiction!
You will, of course, soon realize that this is a permanent condition treatable only by flicking your Axis until your thumb no longer works.

Thank goodness it's ambidextrous! then you can flick it with the other thumb. And on it goes...
Congrats Kelt!

I'm pretty sold on my partially-serrated 705 with the satin finish. I've been carrying it since mid-May of this year and no complaints. To me, it's the perfect balance between a usable utility design and a last-ditch defense measure. Works great in the reverse grip, edge-in mode for me since my hands are small. Excellent plainclothes backup to the Kahr K9 or Rekat Carnivore according to what I'm doing.
You really can't beat the strength of this little folder size-wise, and more important to me is that the resistence to long-term wear is excellent and seems to be an integral part of the ingenuity of its very design. Kudos to BM for successfully mass-manufacturing the brilliance of the mechanism's two designers.

I AM AN AXISHOLIC!,there I said it. I got my BM 710 BT last week. I can't stop playing with it. First I cut my right hand thumb feeling the blade (after shaving my arm real smart). Then I cut my right hand ring finger practising closing it right handed (your fingers are not suppose to be in the path of the blade). The knife fits my hand well and I like the style. I only open and close it using the lock button. Works better than the thumb studs. It is the only non auto I have bought besides the BF Native.

I too am an Axisaholic. I must change my user name! I play with my BM710s untill my thumb is sore from the release button. This knife flicks open beutifully! I will use any excuse to flick mine out of my pocket. What's that honey? got a thread hanging on your shirt? FLICK.... Let me get that for you. Oh gee, this pick-nik silverware really is dull... FLICK... Let me cut this steak up right!
And so on and so on!
