Hello,

I got me a new BK-9 and just wanted to say I love it! I didn't want to just post some pictures of a new knife so I batoned and chopped some oak wood. It was an emergency situation. I might need to smoke some meat this week.

Well, my chopping skills might not be impressive, but the sucker will still shave paper after that!

The negatives thus far: the handle came loose while chopping, and it jarred a little on the batoning, but I think some homemade micarta will fix that!

I love seeing the smudge marks and the steel starting to peak through. I haven't been able to us my 9 very much and I'm starting to get the itch.

Congrats on the 9. She's a beast, isn't she. I've batonned a few times with mine, and it still shaves as well.

Congrats on the new 9. Best fo the bunch in my opinion

Thanks Kevin, I think its a tie between the 14 and the 9. But its dang close!

Me too tincan! I won't get a chance to go camping for a while so I improvised.

Thanks Warrior! A beast she is!! I just love the size and it doesn't feel like much in the hand! it seems to be balanced very well too!

Oh no! You scratched the paint!

You need a proper shear for that bad boy! Go hit up goose_52, he'll set you up nice.

tighten the bolts and/or add some lock-tite. This is standard checkout with a new becker.

Nice intro! Nice chopping setup!

I had the same problem after the first session of use with my Machax.
Tightened them down snug and they haven't moved again.

Long live the King!

Yes SIR!

Well then, that thing chops damn well huh. So my list continues ....

Damn good going against the grain! Sorry for adding to the list sir. But hey, its a good one to have on the list!

The more I see this knife and how much people love it makes me really want to get it... Time to break out another Benjamin:/

Wouldn't trade mine for anything either ... A buddy tried to outdo me by getting the Ontario Marine Raider ...but still love my BK 9 much more :D Had the same issue with the screws ( lost two ) , but now have Cocobola handles on it and haven't lost anymore

I think the first thing I did to my BK2 and BK9 (after playing with it for a bit) was to put thread lock on the bolts, then a bit of inner tube over the handle, and finally some kydex from AZWelke.
