I got this for christmas, and am just having a chance to post a pic now (sorry for the crappy quality). This is the polished Ultimate Titanium Clicky from Tuff Writer. It will be welcomed into the Ti family by my CRK's, Sage2, and Alias2. It's already got a few scuffs from pocket time, but it's meant to be a user, and I'm sure I can get it polished back up if I want. The medium black fisher cartridge is ok, but I prefer a fine tip so I ordered a blue 0.5mm Moleskine cartridge. Here it is with the small insingo I've been carrying for the past week.

Wow! If I had a way of being sure I wouldn't loose a pen... this thing is the schniz!

Description Technical Specs

There are a lot of cool pens, some of them made out of titanium, available our there. Nice pretty pens with cute little clips. Ours is not one of them. Everything about our pen screams over-designed, over-engineered and over-built. Think of this as an evolution of our previous design... in -drum roll, please- titanium. It's a "clicky" pen with a body and tip machined out of solid titanium. For proper balance (everyone knows that a real writing pen should have the balance tipped forward), the tip has been re-profiled and is also made out pure titanium. Swanky, right? To stay put in your pocket, we updated the nearly bullet-proof cold stamped spring steel clip and textured powder-coated it for durability and corrosion resistance. We use a machined Delrin spacer for fitting multiple cartridges (Fisher / Foray / Parker / Schmidt / Franklin-Christoph) and a machined cam advancing mechanism (no cheap stamped parts here) with a ball bearing cam design for silky smooth operation (so smooth, it doesn't actually "click"... it's actually cooler this way).

Want!

If i could bring myself to spend that much on a pen, this would be it. I prefer clickys and this one looks perfect!

I splurged a few months ago on the black anodized aluminum version of the same pen and set it up with a Fisher Space Pen refill (like I do with all my favorite pens). I love my pen and use it all the time. The only thing I'd change would be the clip. The pen rides a bit too high in my pocket. Otherwise, it's a great pen - fun to fidget with, reliable, understated and near indestructible.

Yeah, it does ride a little high, especially in a shirt pocket. It's weight also makes it a little awkward in a shirt pocket. But, it rides just fine in my pants pocket. I just have to come up with a new arrangement so that it doesn't ride against my phone (left pocket) or sebenza (right pocket).

I prefer a fine tipped gel pen, so I swapped out the stock medium fisher for a fine moleskine gel parker-style refill. I'm not really loving the moleskine right now, but i'll give it more time before I try something else. Maybe I should try the fine tipped fisher ballpoint, I might like it.

I got the polished version because it's gorgeous, but it's probably not the best finish for every day use. Scuffs are super visible and it's a little slippery if there's even a little condensation on the pen (metal pen in winter) or if you have the slightest hand-sweat/dampness. I'm going to see how it goes for a few weeks, but I'm tossing around the idea of sending it back to get tumbled or maybe finding someone on the forums who can do a beadblast to get it to match my sebenza.
