I got a box for my birthday that had United Cutlery on the broadside. Never heard of this company before, but anyways, I opened the box and I got a Harley Davidson addition collectors knife. It has Cryoedge written down the edge along with Fred Carter Custom design. Ill put up some pictures in a minute, any suggestions on it? Handcrafted in Taiwan.

United Cutlery is the company responsible for a large percent of the fantasy knives on the market such as designs by Gil Hibben and Kit Rae. i don't have any firsthand knowledge with the knife you mention but the typical UC knife is a poorly made movie reproduction or a knockoff of other popular designs crafted from "surgical" stainless or 420.

the only UC product i've been satisfied with is a set of the gil hibben throwers i've had for a few couple years now. a lot of fun to fling around and they've held up well to the abuse. Sad thing is some of their designs would be nice if they were in a decent carbon steel like 1095.

its has been pretty good so far and it'll take on a pretty good shaving edge.

thats a nice looking knife, and in 440 which is a big step up from the usual 420j2 used by UC. Harley Davidson must have requested a better quality steel or something :p
