It wasn't Christmas, but I sure was waiting for the postman to drop off that box... Courtesy of the Royal Mail. God save the Queen and all that...!

Looking at the images up close, I gotta remember to really clean the blade before snapping pictures next time.

:D

Those just might be the most perfect edge grinds I've ever seen. Great lookin' knife!

Hey Dan, nice knife! I have had my eye on one of these for a while and would love to hear more about how and where you got it. Or is this the one that was on sale here a couple of weeks ago? I almost bought that one... Care to send me an email? Cheers!

How does it feel in the hand?

Hey Jesse, yep, it's the one that was for sale here a few weeks ago. I can't tell 'ya how many people have already told me "I almost bought that one...!" It was $650 shipped from the UK to Chicago and I bought it from Neil Ashton. Good guy and the transaction was very painless.

It feels great in the hand and I've carved up a few corrugated cardboard boxes with it so far - it made 'em feel like butter. I haven't gotten around to slicing and dicing a phone book with it, but that's on the list of stuff to do.

Interestingly enough, it will not shave the hair off of my arm - running the blade up my very hairy arm simply results in the hair being pushed out of the way with very little cutting. I was kind of surprised, to be honest. I recently bought a CRK Sebenza 21 Tanto - running that thing up my arm in the same manner results in an absolutely avalanche of hair all over the place with skin like a baby's butt remaining. Like I ran a razor up my arm. That, btw, is one freaken' sharp knife.

The Rockstead is sharp too - very. I'll play around with both a bit more, maybe shoot some video.
