So my Dad gets to travel quite a bit for work and he picked this beauty up for me while in Paris. It's a Ceccaldi. Carbon Steel and rams (or bovine) horn with a sort of friction system to keep it open. Fit and finish isn't what you would call perfect but it has a rustic charm that I immediately appreciated. It came scary sharp and it's wonderfully light. Gonna make a great pocket knife

It's a very handsome and interesting knife. I'd like to see a few more photos of it if you get a chance and don't mind. Thanks in advance.

Totally agree with Stephen...very nice and interesting. More pictures would be neat if not a pain to do so?

Beautiful piece, sometimes the rustic things are the things that speak out the most, lots of character there!

That is a very very cool knife!:thumb up:

Friction folders are great to use. Once you get used to the action, it's hard to go back to a normal slip joint. This Sardinian resolza sees a lot of use.

Nice knife. And I REALLY love the looks of that pipe!

Something about knives from afar.. Especially unusual ones, just stirs something inside..

That is totally cool!!!! I love the looks of the horn. The lack of a mirror polish brings out the character in the blade. It looks like it could handle anything that you want to throw at it. Is the blade thick? It appears so from the photo though I may be wrong. What a marvelous knife. Have you any more photos?

nice looking knife, France seems to have so many interesting regional variants.
(Carl, I assume you carved that pipe yourself with the rezolza :))

Ha!

But I did spend about 40 years taking it from virgin snow white meerschaum, to it's present brown.
