Hello, dear forumites,
I was visiting Thailand for three weeks in October on business trip. Nice place and people! Three weeks were not enough to read and write though.

While staying there, I got an email. A Japanese customer was in trouble with customs, and needed help. As usual with people from around HI world, he was a gentle guy. I did what little I could do for him get two khukuris through customs. We had some more emails, and I could clearly see he was affected by HIKV... means, friendliest person to have conversation with.

It's a good place to get a friend around HI, even out of Cantina.
Good people makes good forum. Good people gathers because of Uncle Bill. Thank you, Uncle, for running and keeping this pleasant place.

Thanks, oi-chan. Nice story. I think I know the fellow you are talking about.

If I'd know you were going to Thailand I'd have put you in touch with my Thai pals there.

Thank you, Uncle, next chance I'll contact you before going there. I also do my homework of language. I couldn't read even billboards...

Wrong friend,
Deep bow!!Thank you for being a part of our group! From one M/A to another! It's a pleasure knowing you, maybe in the future we can meet & exchange techniques!

Tsimi, you remember what you told me on the phone not long ago?
Don't be tryin' that stuff with our Bud now!!!!:p  ;)

WrongFriend may be the one.;) :D

Thanks alot for warm comments. I'll take my daughter to Konvention when she is capable of the trip there. Yet she's a tad younger than 2 years old now... Well, I need a very large, and sturdy suitcase then.

jim, a deep bow to you too! I have some MA experience, but please do not expect a Shinanju master of me becaues I'm from far east. Still I'm looking forward to exchanging tecniques. Last May I met Broken Arrow at Fukuoka, practiced MA together. A wonderful experience! To my sorrow, he seems to be very busy these days.

Oi, we will reserve a place for you and your daughter. Is her name Ama? As you know my memory is failing me.

She is Amane. Ama is 1.nun, 2. professional pearl diver-ess. The former meaning is more famous as it sounds, somehow, very attractive to Western people.

Thanks for taking care, and remembering most of her name! Hope to visit you with or without large suitcase.

HELLO WRONGFRIEND!!:)

Good to hear from you!:) I do hope you make the next Konvention. I will definitely be there and would love to meet you in person! Amane is a beautiful name BTW:)

Hello, MauiRob! Nice to hear from you. For these five years, I've never been sure where I'll be two weeks later. I'll try to make my schedule predictable, and start to save up money.

How very strange it is, to look forward to meeting pals whom I've never met!

The conventions are very interesting. It's like a gathering of old friends who have never met. Strange but great fun.
