So today I had a nice little pakage come in the mail. When I opened it I found my mini-manix, thanks again nightowl13.
Comparing and contrasting with BM mini-rukus
I can not say enough good things about this knife. As it has already been stated the thing is built like a tank and in my opinion seems like spyderco's version of the mini-rukus. It fits increadibly well in my hands (medium to large), both choked up with the index finger in the choil and in a normal grip, although I like the ergonomics of the mini-Rukus a little more. The handle scales are very grippy much grippier than the mini-rukus but neither knife is going to come out of your hand, I prefer smooth handles but it is no big deal. The jimping is sharp and is much more effective than that on the Mini-rukus. The knife locks up like a bankvault and seems to be as secure as the lock on the mini-rukus. The knife opens very smoothly for a backlock, but once again the axis lock of the mini-rukus beats it out. As of now it cuts just as well as the mini-rukus, but the belly may give it a slight advantage in slicing even though the cutting edge is shorter. Over all the mini-manix is a great knife, but it is slightly beat out by the BM Mini-Rukus.
Either way if you can find one pick it up!!!!!
