$175

All I could think about was "Man, I just gave up a sprint-run Spydie".

What would you get right now if you had an extra $175 just laying around?

" Not a Speeding ticket " !!!!! Para2 Orange. Sorry about the ticket though. I drive a Honda Element so getting a speeding ticket would require a steep downhill, wind at my back as the only AREODYNAMIC part of it is the antenna. John

Lmao. I think I would get on the pre order for a south fork, financial restrictions have prevented this as of now. I really really want one

That got a laugh outta me. :D

I'd pick up an orange Military to match my forthcoming Para 2. Sorry 'bout the ticket!

Well at least you didn't get a cell phone ticket for $150. It's funny because
was thinking the same thing. I could have used that $150 for the Orange dodo
I have on preorder. O well ..

The sad thing is that I drive an 08 Wrangler soft-top so I'm almost in the same boat as you (maybe a little more power, but with the aerodynamics of a shoe-box with a sail on top) - it was a miracle that I was able to get up to the speed I was going and an unmarked popped out of nowhere to snag me.

that sucks. I would buy ammo.:D

That was my second thought - I've been in need of some .308 Fed Gold Medal Match 168gr for a while and have almost ordered twice (but held off due to Spyderco Sprint run purchases :D ).

Oh well - it's just money right?

the last speeding ticket i got in the states was from a Tennessee State Trooper who'd set up his speed trap on a bend with a mountain behind him on the interstate. i was doing 90, we (6 in the car) were heading for the folks place in no. alabama for the holidays. he was very polite, and while thoughts of my vastly diminished bank balance flashed thru my head, he handed me the ticket and told me i had two weeks to mail in the $5 fine.

happy holidays, Tenn State Police! you rock!

I think of everything else that I spend money on in "Spydie Dollars" too.

I have to plunk down some serious coin tomorrow for head gaskets and other related goodies on my Subaru; Oh the humanity! :D

That is a tough way to spend $175. At least if you bought something you would have something to show for it. That is like spending the money on a phone bill.

Try a $350 speeding ticket. That's a Sebenza (or two very nice Spydies.)

Last time I got a ticket, the county added a "fuel surcharge." Bastards...

One needs to keep a bit of spare cash available for these moments. The only alternative is a willingness to obey all of the rules, some of which I consider quite ridiculous.:p

For who? You or the officer that pulled you over?

That's rough.

Zero

Me. The whole story is I was out of state in a rural area. The cop at a speed trap on the interstate (they had four other cars pulled over) said he couldn't tell me how much the ticket was and that I had to call the courthouse. I called a few times and no one answered. Within three weeks, they send me a bill for $350, including the penalty, the file surcharge, and late fees.

I agree that speeding should be penalized, but the above is legalized robbery.
