really excited on this one. got notice a dealer got more in stock didnt wait, grabbed it fast. this one has everything i want in a larger folder. might have to sell off all my others if it does what i think it will. so who has and has used...any feedback...good or bad. appreciate any info. thanks y'all.

I've had one for a short while now, been carrying and using it for everything i use a knife for. So far, it's everything i expected it to be and then some. Sure, it's a bit thick behind the cutting edge, but it never pretended to be an apple slicer, it's trying to be a tough as nails camp knife, and it does that with ease. I re-profiled my edge back to 21 degrees and it honestly cuts very well for it's bulk. If you're expecting a tough as hell Demko style knife close to a production version of an AD-10, you won't be disappointed at all. The SR1 and the 4 max are my 2 favorite built knives by a country mile. Actually, i'm just going to copy and paste my full mini-review and impressions that i posted on the Australian Forum so you can have a good look. I'll post it in the main Cold Steel forum here since a few people have asked about it.

I just ordered it,and Ive been saving/building up my cash rewards on my credit card just for this,so I'm getting an sr1 for $2.50 !:):)
nice. smart way to do it. let those carrying balances and paying hefty interest rates subsidize your cash rewards amd your knife.:)

got it today. handle is real thick and big. which will make it a great user on grip. blade is thick but feels and looks smaller due to the sheer size of the handle. g10 texture is rough and pocket clip too tight, typical cold steel. makes pocket removal and replacement a two handed deal until i get it either sanded under the clip or bend the clip looser.

mine came sharp but bevels are a bit wavy and obtuse and uneven, ill have to fix that and even it out. no big deal though. mine has a tiny, tiny bit of up and down movement....not gonna call it blade play cause its almost unnoticeable. when i pull back on the blade harder it goes away and locks up tight.

all in all great hard use folder for the money, but there is a few things id change. biggest one the pocket clip and rough g10 under it cold steel usual issues.

appears hollow ground, but very mild hollow. could be flat hard to tell as it appears a bit hollow.

Yeah with you on the clip. Typical Cold Steel tightness. I have no movement on the blade at all but I think mine could have had a better edge on it. But overall I love it.
