Got a start on my "Khuklass" short sword WIP

Still need to figure out what I want to do with the blade. I'm either going to keep polishing it, or else I'll cerakote it. Haven't decided. Sword is 5160, heat treated to perfection by darrin sanders, handle is black canvas micarta with mosaic pins. Hand ground the fullers with an angle grinder. Balance is pretty high; about 3" up from the guard, but then, it's designed to be weight forward for chopping power, much like a khukuri, which somewhat inspired the design. I ended up making handles that fully cover the guard, based on recommendations from you guys last time I posted on this blade, and I'm glad I did. This is my second sword, the first being a short gladius-style leaf blade. Have been making blades via stock removal for maybe 6 months on a very amateur basis. It's very fun!
