Go a Trance today its my first clb knie and my first boker. after reading the rave reviews and handling one at the px i couldnt resist purchasing it. its quite the quality piece. Its fits nicely in my acu pocket as well as in my jeans and i dont even notice its there (i tried it ou in both already :D ) its the first CLB design ive tried the subcom just doesnt d it for me and the hyper is big enough that might as well carry an emerson.

Anyways the knife sliced through 550 like a lazer today and its quite thin but still fills my mdium sized hands quite well. at the asking price i think this knife is a great buy. the only complaint i have is tha ti cant flipper it open i can only thumbstud flick it open 50 percent of the time. is there away to make the opening smoother withou losening th screw which would cause blade play?? thanks for any info. im probably gonna ge tanother one and possibly one for my fiance its just so handy and as much as it fils my medium sized hands it wil certainly lock into hers without being to big for her barely functional pockets n her super tight jeans.

Glad you like your new Trance. That one and the Hyper are my favorite of the CLB's that I have. Try a very small amount of oil and that should do. You do have to give it a little oomph to flip it open and I've had no problem using the thumbstud to flick mine open.

Welcome to the Trance pack. I own 2 and love them. Great bangs for the buck.

I've loved my drop point Trance since the day I got it. One of the best knife buys out there.

Yeah, the Trance seems to be great value knife... When I got mine it came with an extremely tightened pivot screw. So, you can try loosening it just a tad, it helped mine and now it's butter smooth with no bladeplay whatsoever. And I really love this knife and it would have been my EDC, if it wasn't for the beatblasting which makes it produce rust spots quite easily. Nevertheless, this is one great design...

nif---Just keep your blade wiped down a lightly oiled...no rust then.

Hey, thanks, but I somehow always manage to get rust spots, even when I frequently oil the darn thing... :\ I guess, I'll have to keep it as a house knife till I learn to take care of my blades right... ;)

I've used my Trance in all types of weather, sometimes forgetting to wipe her off, and I honestly have never had rust on it. I'm looking at it right now and not one spot of rust on her. I wish Boker offered the Trance in black blade. I love the contrast of a shiny edge with a black blade, especially after a stropping with Mothers Mag polish!:thumbup:
