Here's my take. I have an AR and I have another AR coming to me at the end of the month; I modded my first one, and just want a stock one also. I am also a PROUD ZT0200 owner and keep thinking I need to also get a second 0200. Now, with that all said, I have carried and used both my AR and my ZT, and used them pretty hard on some wood walks. Neither one dissapointed me in the least. Both cut everything I tried cutting, even did some light prying on thick tree bark with no problems and no harm to the knives. I know a lot of folks don't like the spine whack test, but I do it anyway on any knife I am going to carry. I do not SLAM the knives, but I do give them good tap on a padded solid wood table, with the padding being a piece of cloth single layered and there just to keep from marring the table and spine. I give them 4 or 5 rapid taps and figure if they hold up to that the lock has been done correctly as far as the geometry. I DO NOT count on this as a test of the strength of the lock. Anyway, both knives passed with flying colors, and the locks on both knives stayed where the were on the original lockup.
The Strider AR has titanium liners that are .100" thick and a blade that is .187" thick. The lock lines up flush to the left of the blade tang, and has been that way since I got it about a 1 1/2 years ago. The action is smooth as butta', probably due to some of the polishing I did on it when I had it dissasembled.
The Kershaw ZT0200 has steel liners that are .080" thick and a blade that is .158" thick. The lock lines up flush to the left of the blade tang, and has been that way since it arrived this past August. It is also as smooth as butta' and I have had it down and polished the insides using a variety of things, but finished it with a Dremel and green jewlers polish.
All this to say that I trust my Strider AR without a doubt, (to do things intended for a folding knife and not a fixed blade knife, or a crowbar)
I also trust my Kershaw ZT0200 without any doubts. Although it's components are not as thick as the Strider they are certaintly thick enough to be a heavy duty folder in the same regards as the AR. But the big thing here is price, and there is where the ZT shines!! The AR I'm buying is going to cost me $425.00 plus shipping, while the ZT0200 is going to cost $128.00 plus shipping. Do the math on these two VERY comparable heavy duty folders, and see what you come up with!!!

Still getting the Strider AR because I like it, and knives are a madness, so I'm mad and when a person is mad how can they account for the way they spend their money!
