Thanks to a fellow Hog, I've got my first custom piece I've bought to use, flat ground FFBM with a weighted tip and ground off choil.

I finally got a new camera too, so I can snap some pictures. It's dark now, but I'll get some great pics in the morning and let you guys know how I likes it, stay tuned :D:thumbup::D

Pics

I need a new roll, I'm running out of room

Left to right: NMFBM, KZII, CBT CGFBM, FFBM custom, Rattle Hawk

The handles are thick, mag handles mixed with the thickness of the FFBM equals over an inch wide at the swell.

Going from the FFBM with magnum handles to the FBM with regular handles is like going from a 2x4 to a paint stirrer.

Not much of a stabber, but its hard not to with this whale harpoon.

I thought it was going to chop tip heavy, but it actually chops more like a kuhkri, with the sweet spot being right under the wide, "leaf" shape of the blade. Not terribly sharp, but that's just from being passed around, I'm not the first owner.

I need to steel it a bit and do some more chopping, wanted to upload a couple pics and get some water, but so far, I like it

Congratulations on the awesome INFI!!!
I've got my heart set on an NMFBM but an FFBM would be nice also.

Congrats  :D That's a seriously purdy blade you got there.

Some more pics:

Chopped off this little bit of the log and I think the wood might look good finished. Is Pacific scrub oak decent for handle material?

I like this checker pattern

Sweet lineup.

I miss my convexed FBMLE with hand shaped mags, and clip.

I really "need" a rattle hawk too. I am pretty handy with my regular hawks, and think the rattle hawk would make an ideal (for me) addition as a "fighting hawk"
