So I broke down and got an iPhone 4 so that I can access my business calls and business email all the time. Great.

What are some useful and\or fun neat features that I should be using.

I downloaded Dragon, which is voice recognition, but haven't figured out how to use it to email yet. It sure beats trying to type on that "virtual" keyboard. The camera is pretty nice.

I like a site called "Art of the Iphone" it has reviews of apps, cases and other things.
Some of my favorite apps are
Plants vs zombies game
camera+ photo editing app
Photobucket Photo storage and sharing site
Appzilla Has tons of utitlties like a level, conversion units, etc

My suggestion would be go to the app store and check out the top 25 paid and free apps often. A lot of times you can download a free lite version of an app to try it out and see if you like it before you but the full version.

If your like me you'll grow to love that thing.

Some of my favorite apps:

RadarScope: near real time Doppler wx radar products (during periods of inclement wx) from the radar station of your choosing.

Flixster: Movie listings, times, reviews, etc., for your selected theaters.

SoundHound: Uses iPhone speakers to identify musical selections playing within earshot by comparing a short recorded soundfile against an online database. Gives song title, album, performer, lyrics and links to the song in the iTunes store and/or on YouTube.

SkySafari: An awesome tool for identifying objects in the night sky, including many naked eye visible man-made objects. Automatically adjusts to your current location.

Cabela's Hunt: A fairly feature rich GPS companion for hunters and outdoorsmen.

First of all, when you will connect your iPhone to PC, check the firmware updates, upgrade it. Then get a good case. If you don't like to use or apply screen protectors get an Ivyskin Quattro case. It is not cheap but it works well. ZERO5 it is $5 discount code if you will order from Ivyskin web-store directly. Majority of useful apps are not free, but you can find apps for everything. I was really surprised when I found a good FREE app to keep archery score!

TM ZERO, great free game. Many free knot ref guides, CPR, Mil Spec survival book, Flag recognition apps, Translators, all free apps. Great stuff out there, try the free apps or "Lite" versions before buying, and read reviews. good luck and have fun.

One of the best moves I made with my iPhone was to stop using iTunes and use third-party software to manage the phone. Really saved me a lot of grief over the past two years. iTunes was too 'controlling.' There are quite a few excellent third-party programs to choose from these days, and all do a better job than iTunes!
Another tip that improved my enjoyment of the device was to get a set of Bluetooth stereo earbuds. No more getting tangled up in the wire from my ears to the phone. Mine came with a built-in mic so I can use Voice control for phone and music. Very nice feature!

For music: Pandora Radio app is good and free
Games: Zombieville....hours of zombie slaying fun.

just two off the top of my head.

ios5 software update is due out later this month. Lots of improvements supposedly. I'm eagerly waiting for it. Never gotten a bum upgrade from Apple. As for protective cases, get the otterbox defender. Sweet case. You can score one at Walmart for around forty bucks. Makes it easy to carry and protects the phone pretty darned well. I'm a baseball fanatic and my iphone gives me realtime info. I'm talking REALTIME. Audio. Video. Lets me choose home or away announcers. I was sitting in the waiting area of the DMV watching an afternoon Mets game a while back. Made an otherwise annoying situation quite pleasurable. This year they've even added minor league real-time "gameday". Man, it's awesome.

Not a baseball freak? No problem, that iphone will grow on you, no matter what your hobby is.
