Well, I finally picked up an orange Zing from another member & I am impressed.

I'd have to say the flipper feels similar to the RAM's, but even more consistent. I have large hands, but am surprised at how comfortable it is. With a lanyard, it'll be just fine. The liner's fairly thick for its size & the polymere handle's sure feel like G-10.

1 question, though. This one's a Nov, '08 knife, but being a new model, is it the new 14C28 Sandvik or the older 13C26 Sandvik? I've read that everything's changing over by Mar, '09, but being a new design that might not be so with the Zing.

Anyways, overall, I'm pretty impressed with this little guy. I feel it's better than the small Ener-G & the equal, mechanicalwise, to the RAM.

The Zing was supposed to be the model to 'debut' 14C28, so I'm pretty sure that's what it is.;)

14C28N. I'm pretty sure.

I like my orange zing too! Mineral oil in the pivot and it's just blindingly fast.

I will try that & it's good to know it has the new steel (14C28N, not 14C28, lol). Great, now I can compare it to the old Sandvik.
