Hey gang,
Glen Stollmeyer of GS Tongs is finally back to doing what he does! I mentioned to him that I'd pass this along to you folks, so if you've been waiting for a good set of tongs, you might want to look him up. Here's the email I got from him:

Matthew,

A very long while back you inquired about purchasing some of my tongs. I just wanted to let you know that I am back at my hammering. I moved overseas, to Taiwan, (my wife's country) and have set up my shop here. Operating from here has forced me to think outside the box more than usual and led to improvements in my tongs, etc. Shipping is via Taiwan Post Office, International Express Mail with delivery to anywhere in the world taking about a week. The shipping cost is obviously higher, but I am currently absorbing a large part of this in order to satisfy most customers. Sorry for the long delay. If you have any questions, just let me know. I will further update my website when I have time to reflect all the changes. Thanks.

Just checked out his site. He makes some really nice tools.

Glad to hear that he is back up and running. I have a few pair of Glen's tongs and they are very good. Glen is a super guy to deal with. I just hope he isn't required to stamp "Made in Taiwan" on his products.

I highly recommend the blade tongs. If you do decide to get them get all three sizes (width) as they are not that flexible in that regard.

Haha!!! That's funny! :D

So it's looking like I should have went down for a visit when he lived 20 minutes away from me eh? :o :foot:

I had some email correspondence with him, but never did get down there. I like his taste in anvils! ;) :D
