Just got another CQC-7 from a friend. This one I'll keep original... not even a TKG!
:)

Thanks guys. This 7 is for my son, if he wants it. He's 8 yrs old, a little too young. This Emerson will be waiting for the right time! :)

Knew you couldn't hang with the spyderco crowd too long before you'd be back in the Emerson camp.;)

I camp on both sides of the forest too.

Just got a CQC-8, and it's mighty great!:D

I'm an EKI, Spyderco and CRK man my self.

It seem there is a few folks that are into both EKI and Spyderco

EKI and spyderco are my 2 favorite productions FWIW,

other than my emerson custom '13 and occasionally a production '12 the only thing that gets carried at all is my ti ATR, imho one of the best production knives ever made right up there with the EKI '12, in fact i could live with the ATR and be perfectly happy, i really like them a lot.

never have been a big seb' fan though, they are "ok" and offer really good F&F but they just never did "grab" me, all of reeves stuff is top notch though and i like a few of his fixed blades quite a bit, but as far as the seb' i have always wondered what all the fuss is about lol, of all my stuff what does my son pick for his 18th b-day? a seb lol go figure.

I have more Spydercos than any other brand, but I also have several EKIs. The favorite of my EKIs is one of my four 7's, a 7B dated from 2002. Probably until I get my A-100! :)

I'm also a fan of CRK, but I own only one, a large regular Seb bought new in 2002. I carry it on and off. As well as a fan of Victorinox and older BM's.

I have a big pile of Spydercos and like them alot. I do like my Sebenzas too and get good use out of them, but I
have found the smaller knives in the CRK 1 piece line to be some of the best small fixed blades I have used.
The Mtnr 1 is a really great little knife and sees alot of use at home and in the bush

I do carry a 12 or Persian on me at all times though so EKI is still king for me.

The folder thing is tough. I try to stick with one brand but can't do it. I rotate with an CQC-7, a P Mil and a Metro Razor by Black Bear Knives.
Les...Thanks for the CQC-7!

I too love many brands, but I think The Emerson forum is the best. Plenty of good knowledge here.
