I`ve been banned for short periods at a time over there a while back. I don`t think it`s going to work out for me over there either, but I only signed up for three months. It ends the end of January over there, same as here.
 
Might be someone saw me start a fire for shore lunch with gas from the outboard and a Zippo. A fast technique taught to me by an old Ojibwa Guide who lived in a log cabin he built himself and ran a trap line all winter, he was probably not a BCUSA member in good standing either. He watched me start shaving a fuzz stick for a moment, chuckled to himself, then started his own fire his way telling me "time is money" ! His name was Toby. and I miss him.

Poor Mors and Ray. Not to mention the Abo Man and John Wiswman. They are only fit to be shunned by "real woodsmen."

As for BCUSA, fire kits are regularly shown there with matches and lighters, and there are no negative comments.

Probably because you used gas.
Everyone knows BBQ starting fluid is much safer.Duh.:rolleyes:
 
Well, it seems clear to me now, I must sell all of my outdoors accouterments (will post garage sale dates here), and live out my days as a metro-sexual Yuppie.

If it's anything to doe with how you light fires then you'll have good company soon, I don't care where I get banned from I'm not pulling out my fire steel every time I need a smoke and that's that :p

Sorry to hear this but at least the garage sale will help pay for all the skinny jeans and hygiene products! :)
 
Any forum where it's that easy to get banned isn't worth your time.

I got banned from defensive carry forum (they should rename it "we get defensive at the least little thing forum") because I dared to question one of the mods about a claim that he made that I knew wasn't true. I was respectful about it, and he decided to be a jerk. Come to find out that this particular mod had a track record of banning new members when they knew more than he did. Severe inferiority complex.

I found very little useful information there anyway.
