I gave my dad a Kershaw Wild Turkey a few years back and he really loves it. So I asked to see it other day and I cant believe hot hard it was to open (lint, debris and the likes), so being the good son that I am I offer to clean it, sharpen it and lube it.
Wouldn't ya know the lock barely locks and with that OUCH!! . It bit me.
All the cleaning didnt help the lock part any better.

So do you think its worth it to send it in? Should I call?

Yeah I would definitely send it in and Kershaw will help you out without a problem.

Please ship your knife, along with a note describing desired service to:

I'm sure Kershaw will take care of you. But perhaps you could explain how the lock failed?

You make a very good point - "How did it fail?".

Well I "made" it fail. I noticed the locking action wasn't quite right, so I gave it a spine wack - Not what you think, just lightly - I kinda knew it would fail, so that's where I got bit. As usual, not the knife at fault, just the user.
