It has been reprofiled and sharpened on my Apex and is razor sharp.I decided to put some mineral oil on my Sage AD handles I slipped up and dropped it while wearing shorts and it brushed my leg on the way down leaving a deep scratch about 3"-4" long

You should tape up the choil when you use that Apex. Keeps the stones from scratching up the plunge line

Thats a good idea thanks, the simple solution's are the one you always overlook.I just thought is was me being overzealous and impatient so I was going to try and slow down and be more careful in the future but I like your idea better.:D

Yeah, it's real easy to scratch up the blade. I find that you need to tape up the knife really well and still take it slow if you want to avoid mucking up the blade.

wow, you're lucky it didn't do more damage --- that thing looks sharp!

I always thought that a scratch didn't bleed  That looks like a cut to me, glad it wasn't worse  Nice edge by the way
