Thought I'd share this and see if this is common or not.....

I rec'd a used small Sebenza Classic a couple of months ago and it is my EDC when in jeans and out and about. I normally carry it clipped to my right front jeans pocket or in my front shirt pocket.

I left the house in a hurry the other day wearing slacks and couldn't find my "gentlemen's knife" so I just dropped the Sebbie in my pocket. Later, I was talking to a guy and just happened to stick my hand in my pocket and gripped the Sebenza and fiddled with it in an idle manner ... then pulled my hand out and had blood on hand from two small cuts! Seems I was gripping and slidng my fingers over the spine or back of the knife and the fleshy part of my fingers got into the frame enough to give two little slices!

Not a big deal but I was a bit surprised.

Cutting yourself at all is horrible. Cutting yourself again within a few seconds is downright hilarious. :p :D ;)

Hope it cleaned up well.

Yea, I guess it is a bit "hilarious." But I'm used to it.....

In some circles my nickname is "Tanglefoot" ...guess why!

Nah, I never heared of such a thing eitgher.

Nope, not too much loose skin and I don't think I need to do anything to the knife... just keep it clipped and if it is is my pocket, I won't fiddle with it.

The two cuts were small, almost like paper cuts and the knife is so sharp that I didn't feel a thing. Just got enough skin in the frame to make the slice!

I guess Tanglefoot is the only one that hs ever happened to .... Seems to be my lot in life.... I could tell you about my horse "Hotrod" how he's tried to kill me a couple of times.....just bad luck I guess...!

I either carry clipped so the blade is against the inside pocket seam, or in a codura or leather sheath/slipcase.

I know how you feel! Last week I was absent-mindedly flicking an AXIS-locked griptilian open and close, while talking to someone. Suddenly I feel a wierd sensation and look at my hand...the blade of the Ritter is stuck into the fleshy part of my pinky finger's pad! Looks like I just slipped the finger in the way and got caught when closing the knife. There was blood everywhere, but felt no pain...... until the next morning when I went to shampoo my hair in the shower....OUCH!!!!!!!!
