Well it was bound to happen, INFI around and a lapse in concentration spells a little pain, some bloodshed, a little irritation with myself. The only good thing is that the blade was very sharp and actually caused no pain during the cut, pain came via the alcohol used to disinfect.

Here is a pic of the offending blade, my MrS:

The following links show the cut and contain some blood. Not to bad but I don't want to expose anyone that doesn't wish to see it.

too bad you got cut. luckily it wasn't bad. did you get some sympathy from the wife?

One of the secret ingredients of INFI is alcohol (spillover) so there was no need to disinfect :D . Don't feel bad I've been collecting for a while know and I get bitten every so often, it means that the knife passion is still there.:foot: :foot:

Builds character. Suck it up. :D

Been cut many times, got plenty of character, really just wanted to have a reason to show of the MrS, not looking for sympathy. ;)

Heh, I swear, folks on this forum are the only ones whose first thought when getting cut is "ooh, gotta take a picture of this and post it on the forums".;)

Nice bite, in a place that will open up every time you bang it for the next day or so. Beautiful MrS. Bye the way, what handle color is that?

Satin with green micarta.

don`t you hate it when you cut yourself and some sheeple find out and they always go "all the more reason not to have knives" ?

Now that your MrS has tasted blood, you may want to sleep with one eye open.

I fear this advice was given one day too late. :(

The very best way to seal and prevent irritation on hand wounds is super glue. Learned that after trying bandaids, duct tape, etc. Better to just glue the wound shut.

After I thought I was such a smart fella, I learned that cyanoacrylate (super glue) was invented as a battle field quick fix alternative to stitches. Burns like a mother if you put too much on. Wait for some blood to cleanse it, dab dry with sterile gauze, apply glue. Beats going through a box of bandaids everyday.

Take it from someone who's hands usually look like hamburger.
