Hacker posted 2 for sale posts.

Also messaged a bunch of people from my account and sent them payment requests for email addresses that aren't mine. Seems like a few folks already fell for it by the time I noticed.

I posted in both threads that they were scams and locked both. Changed my password and set up 2 factor auth.

Anything else I should do mods?
 
There is no way for the staff to log out users, so the hacker can still be logged in, even if you changed the password. Therefore, the Jetlau3 account has been inactivated.
At least one buyer had already sent funds.

Can't say it enough times:
Use a complex password which you only use on this site.
In general, accounts get hacked when user names and passwords are used on multiple sites, and one of the sites gets hacked. BF has not been hacked.
 
I am posting for Jetlau3, who is my brother. He wants to know how he can contact the moderator.

apparently he just reregisted a new account.

he can post here in this thread with the new account. we have no way to verify your relationship to the member.

Apparently he is trying to figure out how to get in touch with anyone there to recover his account . He tried to email sparx but heard nothing
 
He can't recover his old account for reasons we won't get into here. It's "possible" that the owner, Spark Spark , might be able to restore his membership status if he can confirm that he is the original member, prior to the hacking.

Moderators cannot make such changes to a member account.
 
Hi team, I'm the original account holder. My account was hacked -- only this morning -- while I was at work. Before I realized what had happened, 2 sale posts were made and multiple messages sent from my account. As I noted above, I changed the email, set up 2 factor authentication, but then was logged out/ banned.

I created this new account because I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone -- even after forwarding the email of my membership receipt (Paypal) to sparks (yahoo email).

I'd love to figure out how to get my account back -- but if thats not possible is there a way to 1) transfer my membership to this account and 2) get my feedback status back? I've done over 30 transactions on BF dating back over 10 years so would like to retain if at all possible.

TO answer the questions above, I did have a complex password and it was unique to this site. Nothing else I have has been hacked.

Let me know what best way to communicate about this is -- feel free to PM me here . Alternatively I have full control over both my original email address and the one this new account is registered to.

It's been confirmed that his password had been used on other sites. That's how his account got hacked.
